The Simpson Strong-Tie Strong-Bolt 2 wedge anchor is now available in Type 304 stainless steel in standard sizes. Previously available only in Type 316 and carbon steel, the additional product offering allows you to choose the best material solution for your job. The Strong-Bolt 2 wedge anchor is an optimal choice for cracked and uncracked concrete. Following rigorous testing according to ICC-ES acceptance criteria, the Strong-Bolt 2 wedge anchor received classification as a Category 1 anchor, which is the highest attainable category for performance in cracked concrete under static and seismic loading. It is code listed by ICC-ES under the 2015 IBC and ACI 318 strength design requirements for post-installed anchors in cracked and uncracked concrete.
