APG H70318

An O-Ring functions as a seal through the mechanical deformation of the elastomeric compound by mating metal surfaces. The resilient rubber conforms to the shape of the metal sections and blocks the passage of gases or liquids. If the pressure increases, the O-Ring is further deformed and provides tighter sealing.

• The most widely used O-ring elastomer
• Excellent resistance to petroleum products
• Excellent compression set, tear and abrasion resistance
• Does not have good resistance to ozone, sunlight or weather, unless specifically compounded
• Should not be stored in direct sunlight or near motors or other electrical equipment which may generate ozone
